Installation and repair, with the hard-water habits that make a heater last out here.
- 03
Water treatment
Softening and filtration for hard, iron-bearing northwest Indiana water, on a well or on town water.
- 04
Farmhouse & seasonal
Crawl spaces, old pipe, wet springs and January wind across open fields.

Businesses
Plumbing for the storefronts, shops and facilities that keep our towns working.
“A faith-driven company serving Jasper County and surrounding areas. We offer reliable, professional plumbing services with integrity, honesty, and compassion, ensuring your home or business is cared for with expertise.”
Integrity
The work behind the wall gets the same care as the work you can see. Joints are made properly, shut-offs are left where you can reach them, and the job site is left clean.
Honesty
You hear what is actually wrong, in plain words, and what your options are. If a repair is the sensible answer, that is what we recommend.
Compassion
Nobody calls a plumber on a good day. We treat your home, your business and your time the way we would want ours treated.

No. 3Local knowledge
What this ground does to plumbing.
Northwest Indiana is flat, wet-prairie farm country sitting on limestone. The water under it, and the weather over it, shape nearly every job we do.
- Hard water
- Groundwater here moves through limestone and glacial till and comes out hard. Scale builds in water heaters and fixtures unless it is treated.
- Iron & sulfur
- Many private wells carry iron that stains orange and, in places, a rotten-egg odor. Both are treatable once the water is tested.
- High water table
- Much of this country was wet prairie and marsh before it was ditched and tiled. Sump pumps work hard every spring.
- Open-country cold
- Nothing slows the wind between here and the horizon. Crawl spaces and north-wall pipes freeze first.

No. 6Straight answers
Plumbing questions, answered.
Where is my main water shut-off valve?
On town water, the main shut-off is usually where the water line comes into the house: on the basement wall facing the street, in the crawl space, or in a utility room near the water meter. On a private well, it is the valve on the house side of the pressure tank, and you can also switch off the well pump at its breaker.
Is the water hard in Jasper County and the surrounding area?
Yes. Groundwater across Jasper, Newton, White and Benton counties is hard, because it travels through limestone bedrock and mineral-rich glacial deposits before it reaches a well. That is true for private wells and for town systems that pump groundwater.
How long should a water heater last here?
A tank water heater typically lasts 8 to 12 years. On untreated hard water it is often at the short end of that range, because scale settles on the bottom of the tank and on electric elements.
How do I keep pipes from freezing in an old farmhouse?
Keep the heat on and steady, close up drafts where pipes run, insulate exposed pipe in the crawl space and on outside walls, and on the coldest, windiest nights let a thin stream of water run from the faucets on those runs.
How do I know my sump pump will work when I need it?
Test it before the spring thaw and before heavy rain: slowly pour a bucket of water into the pit and watch. The float should rise, the pump should start, the water should drop quickly and the pump should shut off.
How do I check that a plumber is licensed in Indiana?
Search the name on the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency's free license lookup at mylicense.in.gov/everification. Plumbers in Indiana are licensed by the Indiana Plumbing Commission, which is part of that agency.
