Plumbing repair
The everyday work that keeps a house running: leaks, fixtures, supply lines and drains.
Leak & pipe repair
A drip under the sink, a stain on the ceiling, a hissing line in the crawl space. We track the leak to its source, repair it with the right material for the pipe you have, and check the rest of the run while we are there.
Running toilets, dripping faucets and stiff shower valves waste water and wear on your patience. We repair what is worth repairing and replace what is not, and we set new fixtures so they stay tight and level.
A slow drain is a warning. We clear the blockage, then look at what caused it: grease, roots, a sagging line, or a septic tank that is asking to be pumped.

Installation and repair, with the hard-water habits that make a heater last out here.
Water heater repair
No hot water, lukewarm showers, rumbling, a rotten-egg smell or water in the pan. We test before we replace parts, and we will tell you plainly when a heater has reached the end of its life.
A new water heater should be sized for the people who use it and set up for the water that goes through it. We install it to code, with proper shut-offs, relief-valve piping and room to service it later.
Sized to your household or business
Proper valves, relief piping and drain pan where needed
Softening and filtration for hard, iron-bearing northwest Indiana water, on a well or on town water.
Water softeners
Hard water leaves scale in water heaters, spots on dishes and a film on everything. A softener that is sized and set for your actual hardness protects the plumbing and the appliances behind it.
Orange stains in the tub and a sulfur smell at the tap are common on private wells across Jasper, Newton, White and Benton counties. The right treatment depends on what is in the water, so we start with a test, not a sales pitch.
Crawl spaces, old pipe, wet springs and January wind across open fields.
Frozen & burst pipes
When the wind comes across open ground in January, the pipes on the north wall and in the crawl space feel it first. We repair the break, then deal with the reason it froze.
Most days you will find us in a crawl space or under a sink. Old galvanized pipe closes up with rust from the inside until the shower is a trickle. We replace it in sections or all at once, with shut-offs where you can reach them.
This was wet prairie before it was farm ground, and the water table still rises every spring. We replace tired pumps, fix discharge lines that freeze or dump water back at the foundation, and add backup where a power cut would mean a flooded basement.
Plumbing for the storefronts, shops and facilities that keep our towns working.
Job fileCopper and valves, commercial laundry
Commercial plumbing
We care for businesses as well as homes: copper piping and valves in mechanical rooms and laundries, water heaters, restroom fixtures and the repairs that cannot wait until the slow season.
You will know what is wrong, and what your options are.
We find the cause, explain it in plain words and talk through the choices before the work starts. If a repair makes more sense than a replacement, that is what we will tell you.
SafetyWater or gas?
Shut the water off, then call.
For a leak you cannot stop, close the main water valve and call 219-869-2421. If you smell gas, leave the building and call your gas utility or 911 from outside.
